Leveling Kit Installation in Tampa, FL

Same-day leveling kit installation, around $850 with the kit or labor from $280 on yours. Alignment included. Half-ton, heavy duty and mid-size trucks leveled at our shop on West Hillsborough Ave.

LR Wheels N Lifts installs leveling kits at 6923 W Hillsborough Ave in Tampa. Most trucks run around $850 with the kit, labor and alignment, and labor on a kit you supply starts at $280. Most trucks are done in 2 to 4 hours, so you drop off in the morning and drive home level that afternoon. A leveling kit raises the front of the truck 1.5 to 2.5 inches to match the rear, which removes the factory nose-down stance and makes room for a larger tire. We have been lifting and aligning trucks in Tampa since 2013, and every leveling kit leaves with a post-install alignment and a test drive. Want more height than a level gives you? See lift kit installation. Adding tires at the same time? We build wheel and tire packages sized to the new ride height.

Leveling Kit Installation Pricing

Around $850 installed for most trucks. Kit, labor and alignment in one price.

Spacer Leveling Kit

1.5" - 2.5" front

A spacer on top of the factory strut or coil. The simplest way to level a truck.

Torsion Key Leveling Kit

1.5" - 2" front

For trucks with torsion bar front suspension, such as GM heavy duty models.

Strut Extension Leveling Kit

2" - 3" front

A taller strut mount that keeps the factory spring and ride.

Complete Kit with Shocks

2" - 3" front and rear

New shocks or coil-overs matched to the new height. Costs more than a spacer kit.

Leveling kits and lifts up to 3 inches run around $850 with parts and labor. The exact price depends on the kit brand, your truck and the options you choose. Call for an exact quote.

Trucks We Level

How a leveling kit goes on the trucks we see most.

Ford F-150

Coil-over strut front. A 2-inch front level takes out the factory rake and makes room for a 33-inch tire.

Chevy Silverado 1500 / GMC Sierra 1500

Strut spacer on current trucks, torsion keys on older 4WD models. Trail Boss and AT4 trims already sit 2 inches up from the factory.

RAM 1500

Coil spring front and rear. Trucks with factory air suspension level differently - tell us which you have when you call.

Ford F-250 / F-350 Super Duty

Solid front axle. A leveling kit here means coil spacers or taller springs, and the track bar has to keep the axle centered afterward.

RAM 2500 / 3500 and Silverado / Sierra HD

RAM HD uses coil spacers on a solid axle. GM HD trucks level with torsion keys on the independent front end.

Toyota Tundra and Tacoma

Strut spacer or taller coil-over. Two of the most commonly leveled trucks we see in Tampa.

Chevy Colorado / GMC Canyon

Mid-size trucks level the same way as the half-tons.

Jeep Wrangler and Gladiator

Coil spacers front and rear. See our Jeep page for full lift pricing.

Leveling Kit Installation FAQ

Common questions about leveling kits, pricing and tire fitment.

Where can I get a leveling kit installed in Tampa?

LR Wheels N Lifts installs leveling kits at 6923 W Hillsborough Ave in Tampa. We level half-ton, heavy duty and mid-size trucks plus Jeeps, most of them the same day, and every install includes an alignment. Call (813) 464-9023 or book online to reserve a bay.

How much does it cost to have a leveling kit installed?

A leveling kit runs around $850 installed at our Tampa shop, with the kit, labor and alignment. The exact price depends on the kit brand and your truck. Spacer kits are the least expensive, and complete kits with new shocks cost more.

How long does a leveling kit installation take?

Most leveling kits take 2 to 4 hours including the alignment, so the truck goes home the same day. Drop it off in the morning and pick it up that afternoon. Booking ahead guarantees a same-day slot.

Do I need an alignment after a leveling kit?

Yes. Raising the front of a truck even 2 inches changes caster, camber and toe, and skipping the alignment wears the front tires unevenly. That is why the alignment is included in our leveling kit price instead of sold as an add-on.

What size tires can I fit after leveling my truck?

On most half-ton trucks a 2-inch front level makes room for a 33-inch tire. Some trucks clear more with the right wheel offset. Tell us the truck and the tire you want and we will confirm the fit before anything is ordered. We can mount and balance the new set in the same visit.

Can I bring my own leveling kit?

Yes. Installation labor on a kit you supply starts at $280. Call before you buy so we can confirm the kit fits your exact truck and comes with all of its hardware.

Should I get a leveling kit or a lift kit?

A leveling kit raises only the front, usually 1.5 to 2.5 inches, to take out the nose-down stance trucks leave the factory with. It is the least expensive way to fit a slightly bigger tire. A suspension lift raises the whole truck 4 inches or more and is the right choice if you want 35-inch tires or larger.

Will a leveling kit void my truck warranty?

Not by itself. Under the Magnuson-Moss Warranty Act a dealer has to show the kit caused the specific failure before denying a claim. Unrelated coverage, such as the engine or transmission, is not affected by a leveling kit.
